- A ski and snowboard resort located in Hakuba Village in the Kitaazumi District Hakuba Happo-one boasts one of the largest standalone ski/snowboard areas in the country. Particular points of interest include the beautiful scenery of the surrounding Japanese Northern Alps and the highly diverse courses stretching across over 1000 meters in elevation. The panoramic view from the 1830 meter high summit is truly a sight to behold. The resort also served as the venue for alpine skiing during the Nagano Olympics.

- Visitors can enjoy skiing and snowboarding at GRANDECO SNOW RESORT during the season as well as being a place to experience three of the one hundred top mountains in Japan regardless of the season. Enjoy a spectacular view of Urabandai Plateau from the panorama gondola reaching an altitude of approximately 1400 meters. There are guided tours of the DECODAIRA Marshlands which located at 1320 meters above sea level is ideal as a trekking spot. It is approximately 30 minutes by car from Inawashiro-Bandaikogen Interchange on the Ban-etsu Expressway.

- A ski resort in Maekuro Yumoto-Shiobara Nasu-Shiobara City. The ski resort offers a three kilometer downhill trail a Snow Park equipped with a half pipe and kicker The Kids Park with plenty to do such as the sledding slope and the Family Park where families can have fun together. As well as ski and snowboard lessons the resort provides plenty of facilities including six restaurants and shops.

- This is the largest of the four ski resorts in the Niseko area. With the Siberian chill that blows in on the area’s seasonal wind, you can enjoy the finest powder snow. It has 15 gondolas and lifts, a rich variety of 30 runs, and Mt. Yotei rising before your eyes. The resort is enormous, so it’s a good idea to bring a course map the first time you visit. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes at the foot of the resort, so you’ll always be able to find good eating and drinking options.

- This ski resort is located approximately ten minutes by car from the Joshin-etsu Expressway’s Myoko-kogen Interchange. It boasts one of the longest ski slopes in the country, approximately 8.5 kilometers. Since 80% of the slopes are suitable for beginner and intermediate level skiers, anyone, from children to adults can enjoy the winter sports here. In addition to the fun-filled snow park, with its various pipes, jumps and rails, advanced level skiers can enjoy the Super Giant Course, which include the Tengu Drop with its 27 degree gradient and the Hell’s Valley with its 38 degree gradient. The Kids’ Free Program is also highly rated, whereby children up to elementary school age can use the lift and gondola for free all day.

- This resort has close to 20 runs served by 13 gondolas and lifts including Dragondola the world’s longest gondola at 5481 meters. Mt. Naeba is a large ski complex that also includes the Kagura Tashiro Ski Resorts that are connected by gondola. The Naeba Prince Hotel is directly adjacent to the resort grounds. It sees many visitors for the ski resort in the winter and the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL that is held in the summer.
