A swimming beach located in Mihama Town, Mikata County, Fukui Prefecture considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Hokuriku area. The beach’s waters are shallow and clear, and the tiny grains of sand which make up the beach area glitter like tiny crystals, creating a lovely contrast. The beach is also famed for its picturesque view of the Tsunegami Peninsula, as well as its gorgeous sunsets, which die the shoreline red. In summer, this popular destination is visited by great numbers of visitors from the Hokuriku and Kansai regions looking to go swimming; the beach is also a renowned marine sports destination and date spot.
