Worlds Clash is based on two of my favorite animes, Bleach and Naruto, coming together with sci-fi elements to bring massive conflict. The base theory is that an accident occurred in the Soul Society universe that caused it to merge with the Naruto universe, bringing the two different cultures into contact. Shortly after, a race of space faring aliens crash landed on the world, having fled their homeland. Because of the differences in methods, as well as beliefs and governments, the separate cultures broke out into a three way Great War, with no clear advantage to any of the sides.
The roleplay takes place approximately four and a half centuries after the end of the first war, and 498 years after the original contact. The aliens, known as the Areaaly, appear like angels, with a general Caucasian appearance, and wings ranging from white through the entire spectrum of color to black. They have limited telepathic and teleportational abilities, as well as a form of manipulation of natural things similar to the Force from Star Wars. There is a secondary branch of their group that is not the same race, but was considered the common troops of their world, know as the Nekoria, or Nekos for short. They appear similar to humans, differing in that they are in general much shorter (up to a foot on average), have cat ears, and have limited levitation, as well as short range telepathy. They are mainly women, with there being 3 women born for every man. The shinigami retain their original diversity as seen in the anime, but having been separated from the world they are sworn to protect, their lives are focused towards that search, giving much power to the research division. They have mutated to the point where they are more human, being able to reproduce normally, thus allowing them to replenish their numbers while separated from their world. The ninja have retained their original status, still being considered the leaders of their population, though all of the villages save the Leaf and Sand village have been eliminated either through infighting amongst themselves, or through the war.
The roleplay takes place approximately 2 years into the second Great War, with the fighting dying down slightly, and all of the sides pausing to gather their breath for the next round. The players would be members of the various military forces, as well as support forces and governments. As it stands, there is a loose alliance between the shinobi and the shinigami against the Areaaly, with the sides teaming up in order to attempt to match their numbers. However, there are growing factions within both groups advocating the abrogation of the alliance. Thus it stands, with the war preparing to flare up again.
