In the dark years following the collapse of the continent-spanning Empire of Allyanna, Leto, a huge sprawling megalopolis, falls into lawlessness and becomes ruled by the warring mobs.
The setting is quasi Medieval and characters can live as urban warriors in the city's streets, palaces, and catacombs. Characters can either side with a street gang, try to make it on his or her own, or join the remnant population of fighters called the Amarantines trying to restore justice.
Many hidden mysteries fill the city.
Much of Leto's catacombs and sewers remain unmapped and are rumored to lead to a all sorts of hidden treasure and relics of lost civilizations.
In the streets, secret cults and corrupted merchants fight to secure even a single stretch of street.
and in Leto's palaces, the criminal lords have set them selves up as kings.
Will the city ever be reunited and regain its place as capital of the world? (it could, it's up to the players!) or will it slip further down the slippery slope of civil war?!
