Mikuni Fireworks Festival

Event
Staged at the Mikuni Sunset Beach, the Mikuni Fireworks Festival, held every year on August 11, is a classic Hokuriku Region summer event. The fireworks are engineered by the historic Inakako Horiuchi Fireworks, founded in 1899, of Nagano Prefecture that performed the fireworks for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. Inakako Horiuchi Fireworks has won many championship awards at national competitions. In addition to starmines, 24 inch shells, and other special effect firework displays, approximately 10,000 fireworks brilliantly color the midsummer night's sky in dazzling light.
